The Big Fibbers
BEAUTIFUL BUCKET OF FUN
|

Between April 2005 and September 2008 The Big Fibbers ran one of the best cabaret shows in London - "a variety show for the 21st century", said Time Out, London's Secret Scenes. Based mainly at The Bodrum Cafe, Stoke Newington ,but also in other venues all over London, The Bucket of Fun was home to some of London's more unusual acts.
It was described thus: "The idea is to create a variety show for the 21st century in the basement bar of one of Stokie's fave turkish cafés. There are be musical turns, cabaret, poets, the odd stand-up (the odder the better), lots of drunken tomfoolery, NO jugglers - the ceiling isn't high enough - and amazing sounds from The Imperial Starship of Noise. And of course The Big Fibbers and - The Beautiful Bucket of Fun - whatever that is - probably a big bucket containing some strange and beautiful things which perhaps you might be able to win."

Some of the acts that appeared at The Beautiful Bucket of Fun -
Martin Doyle, Nigel Burch, Jan Noble, Kate Langan, David O'Connel, Wolfpack of One, Kevin 2 Sheds, Paul Hawkins, Abraham Gibson, Joe Buzfuz, David Cronenbergs Wife, The Mild Men of Borneomouth, Lou Psyche,Poet Treeman, J.J.
